Уважаеми госпожи и господа,
Другари,

Обръщам се с това писмо в навечерието на срещата на ПЕС в София, в качеството си на един от протестиращите граждани, които ще ви посрещнат в София утре. Моята публична биография е добре известна и бързам да ви уверя, че аз не съм лумпен, не съм криминогенен фактор и не съм платен провокатор на която и да било политическа сила. Аз съм гражданин на България и Европейския съюз и се гордея и с двете.

Аз, освен всичко, съм и пряк наследник на хора, които са дали много за идеологията, която вие представлявате днес. Затова аз ви пиша и с цялото уважение към левите идеи, въпреки че се определям като десен човек.

Пиша ви, защото моята прабаба е везала знамето на събитията от 1923 г., известни в България като Септемврийската революция. Моят прадядо, най-богатият човек в областта към онзи момент, е дарил цялото си имущество на Българската комунистическа партия, след като едва е оцелял след събитията от революцията, по време на която е получил смъртна присъда и в последствие общо помилване.
Дъщерята на тези хора, моята баба, беше Активен борец против фашизма и капитализма и аз не се срамувам от това. Напротив гордея се. Тя е била Активен борец против фашизма и капитализма, защото е била против фашисткия режим в България по време на Втората световна война и е разнасяла позиви, скрити в пелените на моята майка. Нейният съпруг, и мой доведен дядо, бе един от основателите на хумористичния вестник Стършел, пребит почти до смърт от фашистката полиция в България с тежки увреждания, които го белязаха за цял живот и също Активен борец против фашизма и капитализма.

Аз вярвам в тези хора. Аз съм горда, че съм техен наследник. Те са се борили за справедливост и морал.

Аз не вярвам, че те биха припознали тази своя кауза в лицето, което Сергей Станишев и БСП превърнаха в своя емблема. Въпросът, който задава протестът на улицата вече 8-ми ден, е "Останало ли е чест и достойнство в идеите, които защитава Българската социалистическа партия?"

Ние, протестиращите български граждани, ще ви зададем този въпрос утре в очите.

Dear ladies and gentlemen,
Comrades,

I am writing this letter on the eve of the meeting of PES in Sofia in my capacity as one of the protesting citizens, who will greet you in our capital city tomorrow. My biography is public and well-known and I would like to assure you at once that I am not a “Lumpen”, I am not a “crime-generating factor”, I am not a “paid provocateur” of any political party. I am a citizen of Bulgaria and the European Union and I am proud of both.
In addition to anything else, I am a direct descendant of people that have contributed substantially to the ideology, which you represent today. That is why I am writing with all due respect to the left political ideas, although I define myself as a conservative minded (right-wing) person.
I am also writing to you, because my great-grandmother has embroidered the banner used by the revolutionaries in the events in 1923, which have become known in Bulgarian history as the September Revolution. My great-grandfather, who has been the wealthiest person in the entire region at this moment, granted all his estate to the Bulgarian Communist Party after barely surviving the crush of the revolution during which he received a death sentence, but was lucky to live through a general amnesty.

The daughter of these people – my grandmother – was a so-called Active Fighter against the Fascism and Capitalism (an official title given by the Communist Party during the Communist Regime in Bulgaria), but I am not ashamed of this. On the opposite, I am proud of that. She was an Active Fighter against the Fascism and Capitalism, because she actively opposed the Fascist Regime in Bulgaria during the World War II and has even distributed revolutionary leaflets hiding them in the diapers of my own mother.

My grandmother’s husband and my step grandfather was the founder of a well-known satirical newspaper called Starshel (“Hornet”) and was almost beaten to death by the Fascist police in Bulgaria receiving severe disabilities for life and eventually became also an Active Fighter against the Fascism and Capitalism.

I believe in such kind of people. I am proud that I am their descendant. They have fought for justice and moral values. I do not believe that they would share a cause impersonated by the face that Sergei Stanishev and the Bulgarian Socialist Party turned into their own trademark.
The question that the protest on streets asks already for the eight’ day is “Has any honour and dignity remained in the ideas defended by the Bulgarian Socialist Party”.

We, the protesting Bulgarian citizens, will ask you the same question tomorrow face-to-face.
